Google Analytics Walkthrough
The Digital Retailing Google Analytics Page and Event naming is designed to provide an intuitive naming structure that makes analysis more streamlined and Digital Retailing activity easy to identify. All Digital Retailing pageviews follow this convention:
/R-online/srp-new
Every Digital Retailing pageview and event starts either with /R-online or /R-instore
InStore Mode:
You can tell the Express Store is operating in InStore mode when you see ‘Customer:’ and the name of a Sales Agent (or ‘No Agent’) in the upper right of the screen
- InStore Mode is what a Sales Agent will see when they’re using the Express Store within the showroom or on any device where an agent has logged in before. You can identify all InStore activity by filtering for sessions that contain pageviews beginning with ‘/R-instore’. If a session contains a PageView that begins with /R-instore it’s almost certain to be a Sales Agent session.
Online Mode:
The Express Store is in Online mode when you see ‘Contact Us’ and ‘How It Works’ in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Online mode is what a car shopper will see when they log in from their own device. You can identify all car-shopper sessions by looking at sessions that contain '/R-online'. Occasionally, an agent will start in online mode then log into instore mode. For this reason, excluding all sessions containing ‘R-instore’ is a better way to identify these sessions.
