What is the Automotive Standards Council and why should I care?
The council is made up of automotive dealers, vendors, and manufacturers all coming together in an effort to support the industry’s best interests in creating universal standards and guidelines for the transition to Google Analytics 4. The goal is for all members to pass data into GA4 adhering to these standards resulting in clean and easily actionable, digestible data for dealerships and agencies to work with to better understand their business.
While Digital Retailing will continue to support and fire it's own GA4 events based off of our own taxonomy, we are actively firing all relevant ASC events as well, and will continue to support the councils standard.
